Our Medical Review Officers, Donald S. Freedman, M.D., and Jerome W. Cooper, D.O. are both certified by the American Association of Medical Review Officers, (AAMRO) and are designated in good standing for keeping their training and certification up to date with the latest legal, technical and medically sound practices. Our MRO medical team also includes Chad M. Masters, M.D. who is certified by Medical Review Officer Certification Council, MROCC. We are delighted with Dr. Cooper recently joining our MRO medical team. Dr. Cooper has been a practicing MRO since 2006.

Dr. Freedman was one of the original founders of AMRO in 1999. He and Dr. Cooper is supported by a highly-experienced and exceptional professional MRO staff of 10 employees, with a combined 95 years of MRO assistant experience in the medical review industry, processing drug screen results, a highly specialized field. Our Vice President/office manager, Barbara, has all  successfully completed the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association’s Excelling as a Certified Medical Review Officer Assistant training and completed the MRO Assistant certification offered by the Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA).  Barbara, Linda, Elizabeth, Anny and Robyn are all Certified Medical Review Officer Assistants (C-MROA) earning certification through MROCC. On staff, we also have Natalie, Kenzy, Amanda, Sarah, Mariah and Claudia, who speaks English and Spanish.

Dr. Freedman’s additional AAMRO certification represents an objective standard of competency and expertise for MRO physicians across the country. Certification has been a recognized medical credential for 34 years. The certification is based upon the federal requirements developed by the Department of Health and Human Services for federal drug testing programs and is intended to ensure the public of quality services and the maintenance of ethical conduct by qualified professionals involved in drug and alcohol testing review.
